GIVING BACK & HOW YOU HELP
As of December 2016, Borneo Eco Tours has helped contribute RM 721,574.00 out of total RM 2,105,720.49 to implement community and environmental projects under our non-profit BEST Society. Borneo Ecotourism Solutions & Technologies Society (BEST) is a non profit division of Borneo Eco Tours to help implement community and environment projects.
Whenever you choose to travel with us, you're not just choosing your holiday or tour in Borneo. You're a part of something much greater as your travel with us directly funds all our community and social projects throughout Sabah. For every guest who purchases Kinabatangan tour package, we will contribute RM 12 to BEST Society, our in-house Non-Profit Organization that's responsible for all our community, social and environmental work. On top of that, each international traveller to Sukau Rainforest Lodge also contributes RM20 directly to this effort.
We've been doing this great work for 20 years now and need your help to continue the community and environmental transformation here in Borneo. We don't believe and practice charity, instead, we believe that the best thing is a hand-up and not a handout. Along the way, we've also had the support of great partners including WWF, the UNDP, SHELL, ConnocoPhillips, ECU, and so many others. We've impacted more than 6,300 persons directly and replanted more than 5,000 trees ourselves. Some of our recent projects are below.
