Arranged pickup from our hotel by tour guide who was punctual and friendly. Taken to Sepilok Orang utan sanctuary to see these wonderful animals. Not hurried and had ample time to walk around before lunch. Then taken to Sandakan for a speedboat ride to the rainforest lodge. The lodge was excellent and right in the wilderness. Rooms were clean and facilities good. No air con or fridges, but then we knew this before booking that the hotel was not 5 star. Hotel was Ecologically friendly and worked well with the surroundings. The boat tours were excellent, god knows how the guides spotted some of the animals that they did. Loved all the boat safari's and seeing animals up close. If you do go on a tour like this would be worth investing in good bird watching binoculars as the ones I took in hindsight were probably not suitable.
