This 4D3N of wild adventure at the Crocker Range Eco Track is perfect for the jungle trekking enthusiasts and for those who seek the adrenaline rush. The Crocker Range National Park is a UNESCO biosphere that covers the north-south Crocker Range, of 1,200-1,800 meters mountains in Sabah. Be prepared to venture in this daring journey and challenge your fitness while mesmerizing the nature around you.
Be prepared as we will depart from your hotel for a 1-hour drive to Km 50 Tambunan Road. Upon arrival, commence trekking at 5,000 ft. above sea level, walking downhill on a 45° slope, passing through native villages, primary/secondary jungle, and shifting cultivation (5 hours). We then will stay overnight in the village house/Community Hall.
Rise and shine as we resume our journey trekking on gentle terrain and ridges, crisscrossing riverbeds, native villages, the lush jungle and paddy fields. As the sun goes down we will stay overnight in a village house by the riverbank.
Wake up to the call of roosters in the morning before continuing our trek along riverbeds and the jungle. Take a dip into the refreshing cool river of Crocker Range and enjoy a picnic lunch by the riverbank. After a whole day of adventure, return to the village house for an overnight stay.
After a filling breakfast, continue your last day of jungle trekking (5 hours) passing through a mixture of paddy fields and secondary forest. It’s time to say goodbye to the jungle and get ready to return to Kota Kinabalu.
